The Highland Hills Park playground is officially open.
The new, modern playground features accessible elements including an Alta Glide Inclusive Gilder with ADA-accessible ramping, an “inclusive whirl” and sensory play features. There are also separate play areas for ages 2-5 and 5-12.
Fort Thomas received grant funding from the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet for the crumb rubber, a tire-derived surface that provides a firm and stable surface that improves accessibility for wheelchair users.
The park is located on Mayfield Avenue in Fort Thomas.
