The Boone County Public Library is inviting residents to participate in a community engagement meeting to help shape the future of its Florence branch.

The meeting will be held Monday, April 27, at the Florence branch–located at 7425 U.S. 42–with two sessions scheduled from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Representatives from Lexington-based Omni Architects will present design concepts and images during each session, with attendee feedback intended to inform future planning for the branch.

“This is an opportunity for the public to directly influence the future of their library,” Executive Director Carrie Hermann said in a news release. “We want to ensure the Florence Branch reflects the needs, interests and aspirations of the community it serves.”

Library officials are seeking input on how the space can better meet community needs and improve accessibility and use for individuals and families.
