Erlanger Mayor Jessica Fette has been elected as the chair of the Kenton County Management Board for Planning and Development Services for the 2026-2027 term.

Fette will be the first female chair in the organization’s 65-year history. She will assume the role from outgoing Mayor of Independence Chris Reinersman. She previously served as vice chair of the board and is currently the vice president of the PDS Council.

As chair, Mayor Fette will work closely with other mayors and local officials throughout Kenton County to advance planning and development objectives in the region.

“It is an honor to take on this role and continue the important work of PDS on behalf of our communities,” Fette said in a news release. “I look forward to working alongside our dedicated board members, staff and partners to advance thoughtful planning and development that strengthens the quality of life across Kenton County.”

Along with Fette, Covington Mayor Ron Washington was chosen as vice chair of the board, and Crestview Hills Mayor Paul Meier was re-elected as treasurer. Other continuing members of the PDS Management Board include Kenton County Commissioner Joe Nienaber, Independence Mayor Chris Reinersman, Fort Mitchell Mayor Greg Pohlgeers, and Fort Wright City Council Member Bernie Wessels.
