The Covington branch of the Kentucky Career Center, located on Madison Avenue, will host a regional training showcase on Wednesday, April 1 from 3-6 p.m. The free event is open to all adult job seekers looking for short-term training opportunities that will make them more attractive to employers.

“Education pays,” said Correy Eimer, director of NKY Works and the Northern Kentucky Workforce Investment Board. “Salaries increase and unemployment decreases with each level of education beyond high school. In fact, a typical worker with some post-secondary education earns about $5,000 to $9,000 more per year than someone with only a high school diploma.”

Attendees can learn about training providers in the area who host programs for getting trained in high-demand skills, as well as programs that provide financial aid, career coaching, transport assistance and other services to help in the job hunt.
