Snow showers, low visibility and high winds are possible Monday afternoon and into the evening in Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties, according to the National Weather Service.
“The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon,” according to the National Weather Service. “In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.”
Temperatures are expected to drop into the teens both Monday and Tuesday nights, which may lead to icy, slick areas on some roadways, especially after dark. Travelers should exercise caution.
Scattered snow showers are forecast today, with wet roads expected through sunset. However, if snow showers persist after dark, falling air and road temperatures may allow for isolated slick spots to develop.
