The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is preparing for one of its busiest travel periods of the year.

More than 950 flights are scheduled during the holiday period, serving more than 50 nonstop destinations, with popular routes include Orlando, New York, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Fort Lauderdale, and Fort Myers, according to a CVG media alert. Around 206,000 passengers are expected to pass through the airport between Nov. 23 and Nov. 30.

Departures are expected to peak between 5 and 7 a.m., while arrivals should remain steady from mid-morning through late evening, CVG said.

The airport is urging travelers to plan ahead due to an expected increase airport traffic. Passengers flying domestically should arrive at the TSA line at least two hours before departure, while international travelers are advised to arrive three hours early. TSA’s website offers updated guidance on acceptable items for security screening.

CVG’s security checkpoint now includes CLEAR eGates, which use biometric verification to speed identification and screening. Travelers can check estimated TSA wait times, parking availability, and dining options, including new additions Urban Crave in Concourse A and SAMBAZON Açaí Bowls in Concourse B, at cvgairport.com.

Those needing special assistance, including wheelchair support, should contact their airline in advance.

Parking reservations are available in the terminal garage, ValuPark and the economy lot. Drivers picking up passengers are asked to wait in the airport’s Cell Phone Lot to reduce curbside traffic.
