Fort Mitchell Mayor Jude Hehman is not seeking reelection in 2026. Hehman will instead run for the position of Kenton County Sheriff.
LINK asked Hehman why he made the decision to change his political course.
“Being sheriff is a lot like running a business,” Hehman said. “They collect and distribute taxes. While I have not been a police officer, as mayor, I manage a police and fire department. That gives me the experience to take on the role and take the next step.”
Hehman will be releasing a statement in the coming weeks.
