The Enzweiler Building Institute will open its evening enrollment to high school seniors.
Starting with the January 2026 term, giving students the chance to begin training in the skilled trades before graduation, including carpentry, facilities maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and welding. Classes will be held two nights a week from 6 to 9 p.m., starting Jan. 5 and running through July.
The Enzweiler Building Institute, operated by the Building Industry Association of Northern Kentucky, is a trade school that provides hands-on training in construction and skilled trades. It has two locations: 2751 Circleport Drive in Erlanger and 3923 Winston Avenue in Latonia.
The program allows students to complete their first year of postsecondary education while still in high school. Through community partnerships, Enzweiler will provide full scholarships to seniors in the River City school districts of Ludlow, Covington, Newport, Bellevue, and Dayton, as well as full or partial scholarships to students in nearby districts.
“We are thrilled to give local high school seniors an early start on a fulfilling and stable career path,” Executive Vice President of the Enzweiler Building Institute Brian Miller said in a news release. “By combining classroom instruction with real-world experience, students graduate with the confidence and skills employers are looking for.”
The initiative is intended to help address the region’s workforce demand by providing early access to trade education and training under experienced professionals.
