LINK nky was one of many local news outlets honored at Tuesday night’s Society of Professional Journalists’ awards and hall of fame ceremony.
Business reporter Kenton Hornbeck won Outstanding New Reporter, which marks the third year in a row one of LINK’s reporters has won that award.
Society of Professional Journalists is the United States’ oldest organization representing journalists, holding annual regional awards ceremonies.
LINK also took home an award for best freelance or editorial commentary. Eric Inda won that award for his opinion piece about Florence’s flag.
In addition, LINK was also named a finalist in the following categories:
