The City of Covington will host two open community forums on housing, one on Monday, Sept. 29 and the other on Monday, Oct. 6.
The events will serve as a way for city residents to learn about the city’s new housing initiatives and share their input on housing needs. Both events are open to the public, and city leaders will attend to hear comments from residents.
“Housing should be within reach for the people who make our City run — our teachers, first responders and service workers,” Mayor Ron Washington said in a press release. “Covington’s future depends on supporting neighborhoods where working families can afford to live and thrive. These forums are a critical opportunity for residents to help shape the future of housing in our City.”
The first event will take place on Monday, Sept. 29 at Covington City Hall on Pike Street beginning at 6 p.m.
The second event will take place on Monday, Oct. 6 at the American Legion Post in Latonia, located on Winston Avenue. That event will also start at 6 p.m.
