Private nonprofit organizations in Kenton and Campbell Counties have until Sept. 22 to apply for relief loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The eligibility was opened following federal disaster declarations for the two counties due to extreme weather in April and May. Boone County did not receive a similar declaration.

“SBA loans help eligible [nonprofits] cover operating expenses after a disaster, which is crucial for their recovery,” said Chris Stallings, associate administrator of the Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience at the Small Business Administration, in a press release. “These loans not only help [organizations] get back on their feet but also play a key role in sustaining local economies in the aftermath of a disaster.”

Eligible nonprofits can apply for two different loan programs: business physical disaster loans and economic injury disaster loans. Click below to get more information on eligibility and how to apply.
