Various road improvements around Fort Wright are set to begin in September.
Specifically, the work will focus on milling and repaving several streets throughout the city: General Drive, Pickett Drive, Pickett Court and George Huser Drive. General Drive and Pickett Drive recently underwent water and utility repairs in advance of the road work.
The City awarded Riegler Blacktop a roughly $650,000 contract to complete the work in February. The project is expected to be mostly completed by the end of October, according to a city announcement, depending on weather conditions and material availability.
“Please remember to exercise caution when driving, walking, and/or bicycling in all construction zones for the safety of our staff, our contractors and the protection of your own life and property,” the City writes in its announcement.
