Campbell County students returned to school on Wednesday, and the Campbell County Police Department is reminding drivers of a new school zone.
The zone has been added at the new Grant’s Lick Elementary, with reduced speed limits during morning and afternoon dismissal times.
The zone was established at 13290 Alexandria Pike (between Nagel Road and Marl-Rich Lane). The speed limit in this defined area is 45 mph from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. to 3:50 p.m. on school days and will be indicated by flashing speed limit signs indicating the temporarily reduced speed limit.
