Starting Wednesday, a portion of Hands Pike and Waymans Branch Road, or KY 3716, in Kenton County will close for two months for a sanitary sewer project.
The closure will remain in place around the clock, 24/7, until complete, and drivers who frequent the road will need to plan accordingly, according to an announcement from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Specifically, the closure will take place along the road from Madison Pike to Misty Lane, about half a mile away. Drivers will need to detour by turning left onto Madison Pike, then turning onto KY 1501, also called Hands Pike, even though it’s a separate road, before returning to Hands Pike.
The sewer project will be carried out by Sanitation District 1. The cabinet said it hopes the work will be completed by Oct. 13, weather permitting.
