The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Northern Boone County and other areas in NKY until 12:45 A.M. on Wednesday.
The advisory was issued just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday after the National Weather Service observed heavy rainfall on its radar network. Low-lying areas and places with poor drainage are especially vulnerable. “Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen,” according to an advisory summary from the National Weather Service. “Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible.”
Affected areas include Belleview, Waterloo, Florence, Independence, Burlington, Oakbrook, Union, Hebron, Huey’s Corners, Idlewild and Francisville.
