Covington will demolish three dilapidated city properties on Pleasant Street, following an affirmative vote from the board of commissioners Tuesday night: 309 Pleasant Street, 328 Pleasant Street, and 338 Pleasant Street.

The houses are old and in poor condition. Brandon Holmes, Covington’s director of neighborhood services, said at the caucus meeting on July 8 that the demos aimed “to clear the way for future development on those sites, and to clear the way so for future homeowners.“

The demolitions passed as part of Tuesday’s consent agenda. Timelines for the demolitions were not discussed.
