The Southwest Ohio Air Quality Agency has issued an air quality alert for Boone, Kenton and Campbell Counties through Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Specifically the alert is for high levels of ozone. The service advises the following during the alert:

  • Carpool, take public transit, bike or walk, instead of driving alone
  • Refuel your vehicle after 8 p.m.
  • Don’t allow gas and other fuel-burning vehicles to idle
  • Mow your lawn in the evening hours and avoid the use of gas-powered lawn equipment
