Four Covington Fire companies successfully extinguished a fire that had broken out in a detached garage Thursday afternoon with no injuries reported.
Companies 1, 2, 6 and 8 were dispatched sometime in the afternoon, according to statements from the department.
The garage was located in an alley between Garrard Street and Greenup Street. The fire department managed to douse the fire before it spread to other buildings, the department said.
The fire did cause some power lines to fall, but these did not lead to any injuries.
