The City of Covington has approved a construction contract with local company Radius Construction for the addition of a park shelter near Prisoner’s Lake in Devou Park.
The approval was passed as part of Tuesday’s meeting’s consent agenda.
City documents indicate the new shelter, which will augment the three other shelters already in the park, will contain restrooms, exterior lighting, seating for up to 80 people and water fountains. Bidding documents show Radius has agreed to a maximum price of $474,782 for the work with a scheduled opening date of April 1 of next year at the latest.
