UPDATE: All northbound lanes have reopened as of 4:18 p.m. May 23, 2025.

The two right-most northbound lanes on the Brent Spence Bridge will close from 4 to 5 p.m. on Friday for emergency repairs of damaged signs.

“A portion of an overhead highway sign on the bridge was clipped, and needs to be removed for the safety of motorists,” said an announcement from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. “This work will require a double right lane closure on Interstate 71/75 northbound between Pike Street (U.S. 25) (190.6 mile point) and the Kentucky/Ohio state line (191.6) mile point), a distance of 1.0 miles.”

The cabinet hopes to have repairs on the bridge completed by 5 p.m. The left-most northbound lanes will remain open.

The cabinet will update its progress on its Facebook page.
