The Covington Farmers Market will kick off its 2025 season this weekend at a new location at Washington and Pike Streets in Covington.

“With the growing season just ramping up, over 20 vendors will be onsite selling baked goods, early spring vegetables, eggs and meats, herbal remedies, personal hygiene items, cleaning items, home and garden décor and even plants to start your own garden!” reads a press release from the farmers market. “All produce is seasonal, so it will change through the course of summer.”
The Wave Foundation, a nonprofit foundation connected to the Newport Aquarium that offers educational events and volunteer opportunities for people interested in aquatic conservation, will help launch the market’s first Saturday. The market will operate every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from May to October, rain or shine.
Market vendors accept SNAP (food stamps), WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits.
