A portion of Kyles Lane in Kenton County will be closed for at least the next two weeks to allow Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews to complete a landslide repair.
“Crews will work over the next two weeks to shore up the hillside that has caused several slips in the road so it can be safely used by all motorists,” according to a press release from the cabinet. The cabinet hopes to complete the landslide repairs by April 4, weather permitting.
Through traffic will not be allowed in this area during the repairs. People who live in the area will need to take alternate routes to access their homes: Homes either at or north of 800 Kyles Lane will use Highland Pike for local access to Kyles Lane. Homes at or south of 845 Kyles Lane, on the other hand, will use Madison Pike for local access to Kyles Lane. Through travelers will need to detour onto Madison Pike or Highland Pike.
