Assistant County Attorney Michelle Eviston was recently named the Kentucky Child Support Attorney of the Year, the second time she has won the award.
Eviston won for the first time in 2018. Campbell County Attorney Steve Franzen said that no one else in the commonwealth has won the award twice, and very few people have won ever.
Franzen said the county collects about $9 million a year for child support recipients. He said Eviston not only collects child support for the county, but the whole state relies on her. Franzen said Eviston has been instrumental in changing and improving systems across the state.
“To have Michelle named as the child support attorney of the year, not once, but twice over the hundreds of child support attorneys that we have in the Commonwealth, it’s just a great honor, and I just appreciate you very much, Michelle,” Franzen said.
