Students have until Feb. 1 to apply for Kentucky Transportation Cabinet scholarships for construction management and civil engineering.
Aimed at ensuring the cabinet has a pool of qualified candidates, the scholarships are split into three categories:
- Construction Management Scholarship – This scholarship, worth up to $59,000, provides funding for bachelor’s degree students in construction management to work on various traffic and infrastructure programs around the state.
- Civil Engineering Scholarship – New and returning civil engineering students are eligible for one of 80 scholarships, worth up to $59,000, doled out by the state every year.
- Civil Engineering Technology Scholarship – One of 12 scholarships, worth up $14,800, for civil engineering technology used for construction planning, environmental analysis, structural design and other technical skills related to infrastructure.
