The Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission, a local nonprofit, is now accepting applications for the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program, often shortened to LIHEAP. The program offers financial assistance for qualifying families to help keep their homes heated during the winter months.

Applications will be accepted through March 15, and funds will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis while funding lasts.

Applicants must provide proof of social security number or proof of permanent residence for each member of the household, proof of household members’ income, proof of a heating bill or proof that utilities are included in monthly rent payments and the account number and name for the household’s utility bills.
