Campbell County residents can recycle their live, undecorated Christmas trees at Pendery Park.
The trees can be dropped off beginning Dec. 26 at Pendery Park near the recycling bins at 4113 Williams Lane in Melbourne.
The recycled trees create a refuge and feeding habitat for fish and other animals. In the 2023-2024 Holiday Season, 228 trees were taken to Benjy Kinman Lake in Henry County.
All lights, tinsel, ornaments, and garland must be removed before dropping off. Limbs, wreaths, and brushes are not accepted. The program ends on Sunday, Jan. 12.
