The City of Taylor Mill honored the accomplishments of the Scott High School girls’ volleyball team at a special event at the Taylor Mill firehouse Wednesday evening.
“We’re celebrating tonight all the success that the Scott volleyball Eagles had this year,” said Mayor Dan Bell, “And it was quite an interesting season.”

Accomplishments of this year’s team include winning the 10th region championships, making them one of 16 teams to compete in the KHSAA state volleyball tournament.
This year was also the second time the team has made state semifinals in 10 years. Additionally, the team has a 15-year streak as an all-academic team for their collective academic performance.
Bell also honored individual team members with recognitions and issued a city proclamation in the team’s honor.
“I hope they [the team] really appreciate what happened this year and what they were able to accomplish together as a group and as a team,” said Coach Andrea Sullivan. “And this is something that I think they’re going to remember for the rest of their lives.”
