Premier Athletics, a cheer, dance and gymnastics training center in Erlanger, will host a cheer and dance competition in honor of Lilliana Schalck, a 13-year-old Fort Thomas cheerleader who died suddenly of an illness at a competition in 2019, later this month.

The event will double as a fundraiser for scholarships in Schalck’s honor, which will be awarded the day of the event. Over 70 local teams will perform at the competition.

“Lilliana’s spirit was undeniable and infectious to anyone that knew her,” said Lilliana Schalck’s father, Dan Schalck, in a press release. “Evidenced by the participation in this event–the outpouring of love and support for her and what she stood for strongly continues this many years later. This event is the annual highlight of that support, and we cannot thank Premier Athletics enough for providing this vehicle for all to honor her.”

Called the LJS Cheer & Dance Competition, the event will take place on Sunday, Nov. 10 at Scott High School in Taylor Mill, starting at 9 a.m. Tickets are $10, and proceeds support the scholarship fund. Scholarships will be given to eligible competitors at 11:45 a.m.
