Jeanne Schroer is the latest recipient of Kenton County’s prestigious Pioneer Award.

The Pioneer Award honors Kenton County residents who have a record of demonstrating outstanding service within the community. She was honored during a Kenton County Fiscal Court meeting on October 15.

“She is an incredible leader in Kenton County and the Greater Cincinnati region whose work has truly been pioneering for our community,” Kenton County Judge/Executive Kris Knochelmann said.

Schroer forged a career working in local real estate, first as an employee of Corporex where she helped secure private financing partners for the construction of the Covington RiverCenter. She also had a successful career as an instructor at the University of Cincinnati.

Currently, Schroer works as the president of The Catalytic Fund, where she helps facilitate the development of many residential, commercial, and community real estate projects.

Additionally, Schroer was also involved in several different community organizations like the Covington Business Council, Foundation Board of Gateway’s Community & Technical College, PNC Bank Community Development Advisory Board and Campbell County Leadership Action Board among others.

“This really means a lot to me,” Schroer said. “I am just very surprised and grateful to have received this award.”
