A full-circle moment happened at the Campbell County Area Technology Center during a fire alarm on Sept. 30.
According to the area technology center via a Facebook post, its fire alarms went off due to a faulty smoke detector. When the fire department responded, 2024 fire science graduate Owen Allen came to the rescue.
“Love to see our graduates fulfilling their passions and putting the knowledge and skills learned at the ATC to work! Good to see you Owen,” the Facebook post said.
The fire science program was introduced to the Campbell County Area Technology Center last year. It trains students to be two years ahead in their careers by the time they graduate with their high school diploma. Read more about the program here.
