The Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky, often shortened to TANK, is seeking feedback on a raft of proposed changes to fares and services for 2025. People in TANK’s service area can leave feedback by attending a scheduled public meeting or by leaving feedback online.
Notable proposed changes include eliminating several routes, adjusting others and increasing ride fares to $2.
The increased rates were proposed due to the sunsetting of federal COVID aid funding, limited access to local funding alternatives and general increases in expenses. Frequent riders may still be able to save money in the long-term, TANK said, with the authority’s proposed account-based ticketing system, which grants monthly passes to riders who can’t afford them up-front.
Under the proposed program, riders who purchase enough single-ride fares in a month, roughly equal to the cost of a monthly pass, can ride the remainder of the month for free.

Dates, times and locations of scheduled public meetings are below. People can also leave online feedback by filling out TANK’s online survey if they’re unable to attend the meetings. People can leave feedback until Oct. 25.
