New lane closures on the I-471 bridge begin next week, while the ongoing maintenance and repair project continues.
The 24/7 left lane closure will remain until northbound work is complete, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Additionally, double and/or triple lane closures are possible from Sept. 22-26 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Beginning the evening of Sept. 23, crews will begin to work on the southbound portion of the bridge. Motorists should expect a 24/7 single right lane closure.
This lane closure will remain in place until southbound work is complete. Additionally, the right lane on the U.S. 50 eastbound to I-471 southbound ramp in Ohio will be closed 24/7.
Beginning the evening of Sept. 24, crews will begin utilizing a left lane closure as needed from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. Expect a double-lane closure while traveling southbound during these hours.
