Looking for a fun event this weekend showcasing the arts? The Fort Thomas Arty Party is just the thing for you.
The event, which takes place in the city’s Cultural Arts District along North Fort Thomas Avenue, features several participating businesses, activities, public art and live music to get everyone up and moving on Saturday, Aug. 24, starting at 5 p.m.
The cultural arts center plans to exhibit artwork by Terri Schmitt, Ted Borman, Lori Wendling, Tim Lancaster, Ben Harrison, William Linthicum and Ken Landon Buck.
Featured events include Fort Thomas Coffee’s latte art throwdown at 7 p.m., Rehabilitation Performance will tie-dye shirts, Uniquely Bold Bridal’s fashion show inside 18 North Fort Thomas Ave. and Comal Restaurant’s delicious homemade salsa.
Businesses are also offering games and deals for the evening at other participating businesses in the district. The city will be doing a yarn bomb art feature at the clock tower and is inviting the community to participate.
Live music by IconX is set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and Mad Costanza takes the stage from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the city’s clock tower at 42 North Fort Thomas Avenue.
