An overturned commercial vehicle has blocked all lanes at the KY 8/KY 9 roundabout in Newport near MegaCorp Pavilion.
The vehicle is in the roundabout on KY 8 at mile point 0.3. The roundabout exit from KY 8 (from Covington) to KY 9 remains open; however, the lane inside the roundabout is blocked.
An update at 2:30 p.m. from the Campbell County Office of Emergency Management via Facebook said that the clean-up process was taking longer than expected and the roadway will remain closed for another three hours as clean-up efforts continue.
Detour (traveling from Covington to Newport): eastbound on KY 8 to KY 9 southbound.
Detour (traveling from Cincinnati/Newport to Covington): southbound on KY 8 (W. 3rd Street) to KY 8 westbound (Fourth Street Bridge) into Covington.
