Alexandria and Crescent Springs were awarded safety grants from the Kentucky League of Cities, a regional nonprofit insurance provider that advocates for the financial interests of Kentucky cities.
Specifically, Alexandria received $1,752, while Crescent Springs received $600.
The grant money will help the cities provide services and programs that reduce liability and create safer communities.
“Kentucky League of Cities is pleased to help make our communities safer for our citizens and city employees,” executive director J.D. Chaney said in a press release.
The Kentucky League of Cities also offers employee benefits programs, legislative advocacy, financial and municipal law services, training, community development, and other resources that serve cities.
