Tom Vergamini, who served on the Crescent Springs City Council for 20 years, passed away on July 11.

Vergamini was also active in several civic organizations in both Crescent Springs and Villa Hills, including the Chamber of Commerce, Interfaith Hospitality Network Board, Habitat for Humanity, National Alliance on Mental Illness Northern Kentucky, the Northern Kentucky Planning Council and the Villa Hills Soccer Club.

“His passing leaves a void in our hearts and in our community that will be difficult to fill,” wrote Crescent Springs Mayor Mike Daugherty on a social media post earlier this week. “We extend our deepest condolences to Tom’s family and friends during this difficult time.”

The Villa Hills City Council also held a moment of silence for Veragamini at their council meeting on Wednesday.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 20 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 12 noon at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home in Ludlow.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks people to make donations to YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, St. Elizabeth Hospice, NAMI Northern Kentucky or Kentucky Habitat for Humanity.
