The Northern Kentucky Health Department is distributing free naloxone spray as well as other harm-reduction supplies and offering free training on Friday, July 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. in response to the recently issued overdose alert in Boone County.

The alert was issued earlier this week after 17 nonfatal suspected overdoses were reported between June 25 and July 2, an unusually high number, according to the health department.
The distribution and training event is located on Dream Street in Florence. Health department teams will work out of one of their mobile units, pictured here, across from the Super 8 Motel. People should seek out the vans.
Check out the health department’s interactive map for locations where they regularly distribute naloxone and other harm-reduction supplies.
