Thursday, July 4 is Independence Day, and cities around Northern Kentucky are poised to celebrate with runs, parades, and concerts.
Here is a list of what’s happening and where:
July 3:
Newport Blast — One Levee Way, Newport
- Event kicks off at 5 p.m.
- Fireworks show begins at 10 p.m.
Florence Independence Day Celebration— Florence Government Center, 8100 Ewing Blvd., Florence
- The event will kick off at 6 p.m. with live musicÂ
- Fireworks display will be set off at 10 p.m.Â
July 4:
Edgewood 4th of July Extravaganza — 550 Freedom Park Drive, Edgewood
- Annual 5K race steps off at 7:30 a.m.
- 4th of July parade kicks off at 9:30 a.m.
- Live music begins at 7 p.m.
- Fireworks show starts at dusk
Fort Mitchell Independence Day Parade
- Parade steps off from 75 Orphanage Road at 12:30 p.m.
Fort Thomas Independence Day Celebration — 900 S Ft Thomas Avenue, Fort Thomas
- Firecracker 5K kicks off at 8 a.m.
- Parade steps off at 10:30 a.m.
- Live music starts at 6 p.m.
- Fireworks show at 10 p.m.
July 5:
Independence family fun Friday—Memorial Park 2001 Jack Woods Parkway.
- Bring the kiddos out as the festival opens with family activities all night long. Discounted $20 ride bracelets from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Family activities at the amphitheater from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Live music from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Roman candle display at 10 p.m.
July 6:
Independence Saturday spectacular—Memorial Park 2001 Jack Woods Parkway.
- The Independence Day parade starts at Summit View Academy, winding down Madison Pike to Simon Kenton High School at 3 p.m.
- Memorial Park is open for the Independence Celebration festivities after the parade ends with $25 ride bracelets from 4 p.m. to midnight.
- Live music at 7 p.m.
- Fireworks show at 10 p.m.
