The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is advising Northern Kentucky motorists about two resurfacing projects that are now underway in Boone County.
The first project is on KY-16, Glencoe-Verona Road, from the Gallatin County line to KY-14/194. The project is 2.48 miles worth of resurfacing.
The second project is on KY-1925, Big Bone Road, from Rice Pike to KY-536 for a distance of 1.83 miles worth of resurfacing.
Weather permitting, milling on KY-16 will begin on Monday, May 6, with paving to follow. Milling on KY 1925 will begin on Monday, May 13, with paving to follow.
Roadwork will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Drivers should expect single lane closures during these daytime working hours. Flaggers will be in place to guide traffic safely through the work zone.
The resurfacing project is part of a $435,665 project awarded to Eaton Asphalt Paving Co, Inc. of Walton. Weather permitting, this project is expected to be completed by June 30.
