The section of KY 8, also known as Mary Ingles Highway, has reopened following a hill slide that occurred early in the morning of April 12.Â

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 6 Office advises motorists of a road closure on KY 8, also known as Mary Ingles Highway, due to a slide.
The closure is at the 12.5-mile point, which is between Oneonta Road and Painter Road.
Crews responded to dispatch early April 12 to close this section of Mary Ingles Highway due to a hill slide. They began clean-up efforts immediately.Â
Motorists will need to utilize an alternate route. KYTC will provide an update once the road is reopened to traffic.
