A land slippage occurred at the access point to the construction site of Cityview Station, a Fischer Homes development, in Ludlow this morning. The area is the same area along Highway Avenue that experienced flooding during last week’s heavy rainfall.

The police have not reported any injuries or service calls related to the slippage.
Fischer Homes released a statement related to both this land slippage and this flooding that occurred on April 2.
“Though Fischer Homes is in compliance with all applicable erosion control regulations, Fischer Homes has taken the additional step to direct water into recently installed stormwater structures and has created a detention pond on the property – steps that will reduce the amount of stormwater runoff from the site,” statement read.
“Once the site is fully developed, it will have a new stormwater system that will collect runoff and further limit erosion,” the statment continued. “It is important to remember that, according to Ludlow city officials, heavy rainwater runoff and even flooding are not unusual in that area of the city. However, more stormwater will be captured as the development is built out.”
Fischer concluded their statement by saying that crews were on site attempting to redress the issue. Fischer Homes has established a hotline for home owners who may have been impacted by the incidents, which they can reach at (859) 209-3912.
