New cul-de-sac signage and T turnarounds have popped up in Wilder, alerting citizens of no-parking rules.
The city said the decision was made after years of consideration and safety for Wilder residents and city personnel.
“The new signage indicates no parking in cul-de-sacs or no parking anytime and did go up rather quick,” Wilder said via Facebook. “Just because the signs went up fast and without notice does not mean it was done without concern for those who live at the end of the street.”
Wilder said many surrounding cities also do not allow cul-de-sac parking.
“While we realize this is a big change for some and will result in some inconvenience, it all boils down to safety,” the city said.
According to the city, police will issue warnings to violators for “some time” before ticketing vehicles. Parking tickets are $25.
