A movie is set to film at Alexandria Community Park on Wednesday, March 13.

The crew will operate at the park from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The city is encouraging residents to avoid the area during that time.

Alexandria City Manager David Plummer said, “We are encouraging the public to please stay away from the lake because access will be restricted.”

Plummer said the city underwent a permit process before allowing the crews to film in the park. This process ensured all necessary departments were involved, including the fire district, police, administration, public works and parks. The goal, Plummer said, was to ensure they would not impact the residents or use anything dangerous while filming.

“While they are a large operation, they are staging all their stuff, I believe, at The Bridge Church, and they will be carpooling most of their equipment and people to reduce the impacts that they can at the park itself,” Plummer said.
