The city of Alexandria is partnering with interested small businesses to host a block party-style event called the Alexandria Business Showcase.
The event will promote small businesses in the community while offering activities for kids and adults.
The event is set for May 11 from noon to 8 p.m. and closes Washington Street from East Main Street to Grove Street. Beyond Grove Street, Washington will remain open for traffic as usual.
