The Kenton County Public Library’s three locations will host a variety of indoor play activities for kids later this January to help any family get through the cold weather.

“All three locations offer an indoor play area with board games, toys, Legos, pretend play, sensory play, toddler slides and so much more,” said a recent announcement from the library.

Playdough Playdate

Thursday, January 18, 1:30-3 p.m.

Erlanger Branch – Ages 2-5

Explore, mash, squish and roll playdough during this fun drop-in program. Tools, mats and playdough provided.

Craft Mart

Thursday, January 18, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Erlanger Branch – Ages 5-12

Make a bookmark craft, but with a twist! You’ll be given a budget (of fake money) to buy all your crafting materials.

Open Play

Friday, January 19, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Independence Branch – Ages 0-8

Jump in the bounce house, climb through the tunnel and soar from the trampoline onto the crash pad.

Saturday Storytime

Saturday, January 20, 10:30-11:15 a.m.

Covington Branch – Ages 3-5

Join us for stories, songs and play.

Inflatable Party

Saturday, January 20, 6-8 p.m.

Erlanger Branch – Ages 3-12

Don’t let cabin fever get the best of you! Play at the library – there will be lots of fun inflatables including slides, bounce house and obstacle courses along with a sensory glow water.

Covington Branch Celebration

Sunday, January 21, 2:30-4 p.m.

Covington BranchEveryone

Our building is turning the big 50. Celebrate dressed in your best 1970s-inspired outfit. Take a walk down memory lane and enjoy music with a live DJ and refreshments.
