The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 6 Office has announced an evening/overnight lane closure on I-471 in Campbell County beginning Monday, Dec. 11, as part of a safety improvement maintenance project.

Maintenance crews will be clearing brush from the median wall of the interstate. Crews will close the left lane on I-471 northbound and the left shoulder on I-471 southbound from south of U.S. 27 (Alexandria Pike 0.75 mile point) to the entrance of the Daniel Carter Beard Bridge (4.78-mile point.) Crews will be on-site between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.

This project will help improve safety on the highway by eliminating brush that can clog drains.

The project is expected to be completed by Friday, Dec. 22. Crews may need to return to the project area to finish the work in early 2024.
