Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews will begin corrective work on the U.S. 42 bridge in Boone County Tuesday.
Work is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the 13.8 to 14.2-mile points. Crews will work from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. This schedule will be in place through Friday, Nov. 17. This overnight work will require closing the left two lanes of U.S. 42 westbound.
Beginning Friday, Nov. 17, at 8 p.m., through Monday, Nov. 20, at 6 a.m., the left two lanes of U.S. 42 westbound will be closed. Motorists should expect significant delays near the interchange over the weekend and are encouraged to find alternate routes.
This corrective work will entail repairing pavement slabs adjacent to the bridge.
