Boone County Water Rescue personnel recovered a boat from Big South Fork Creek on Thursday evening. The craft was involved in an earlier accident being investigated by the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Service.
The agency was dispatched at approximately 6:30 p.m. at the request of the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Service and upon arrival the Boone County Water Rescue crew observed the rear corner of the boat was slightly exposed on the water’s surface, according to a media release.
A diver was deployed into the creek to attach chains and cables from the towing vehicle in order to make the retrieval.
