The Boone County Fiscal Court has declared equipment and vehicles that are no longer serviceable as surplus.
“I would like the court to declare various county-owned equipment and vehicles as surplus,” Boone County Assistant County Administrator/County Engineer Rob Franxman said. “This request includes four sheriff’s department vehicles, two public works vehicles, one vehicle each from property maintenance and water rescue, three recycling bins and one trailer from solid waste and two snow plows.”
Once declared surplus, the bins and trailer from solid waste will be recycled through the county’s recycling department, Franxman said, adding the remaining vehicles and equipment will be auctioned at govdeals.com.
