The Florence Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of police officer for recruit-level positions.
Recruits must be at least age 21, a U.S. citizen, be a high school graduate or possess a GED.
Additionally, recruits must meet at least one of the following requirements, officials said:
- 62 semester or 93 quarter credit hours from an accredited university
- A minimum of two years of military duty
- A minimum of three years of full time employment
